Statistical Analysis of Experimental Density Data Sample
Statistical Analysis of Experimental Density Data Paper The methods used in this experiment were very basic, the instructions show how to read a burette and a balance; and tells how many significant figures have to use for ACH device. In order to take mass there was necessary to use a beaker to place the glass beads (the object that was going to be measured), and in order to dont affect the mass or volume of the glass beads there was used forceps. Another methods used in this lab were how to calculate average, standard deviation, confidence intervals and error in density. Results: At taking the average for mass and volume of the beads, the results were 3. 3048 g (mass) and 1. 325 ml (volume). The density was calculated from those results, which was 2. 49 g/ml. Standard deviation of mass was 0. 011 76 g and for volume 0. 013 ml. The Confidence Intervals for the mean were obtained. The 95% CLC for mean were à ±0. 01871 g (mass), à ±0. 021 ml (volume) and à ±0. 041 g/ml (density). For the 99% CLC for mean were à ±0. 03434 g (mass), à ±0. 038 ml (volume) and à ±0. 08 g/ ml (density). The relative difference of the calculated density of glass beads was 3. 2%, compared to the accepted value of 2. 40 g/ml. Conclusion: By looking the values of standard deviation and CLC for mean, both results reflected the accuracy at reading a balance and burette. At taking the mass with the balance, the results were more accurate since its an electronic device and it as more significant figures, so the error was less. By measuring the volume with a burette the error w as greater since the decimals were calculated just by the eye and not by a device that show up all the numbers like the balance. If the error in volume or mass is high, the same error will be reflected on density as well. By comparing the accepted value of 2. 40 g/ml with my results of 2. 49, that difference is probably due to systematic error at reading the burette. Introduction By performing this experiment, will be learned the concept of statistical analysis ND error from given data. There are two types of errors, one is random error this. This type of error can be made by reading the burette, since the student read it in many different ways. The other type is random error; this error is related to the precision of the experiment (in this case the balance). By collecting all the data; average (mean) was calculated, which provides a central value of a set of numbers. Then standard deviation was calculated by using the mean, this number tells approximately how precise the measurements were. At getting the value of standard deviation, confidence interval was calculated. Confidence interval is a measure of the reliability of an estimate. For example in the data what it means is that there is a 99% that the volume will be between 1. 304 ml and 1. 346 ml. By having collected the average of volume and mass, density was obtained. Density is directly dependent on the results that were obtained from volume and mass. Then from the same data, confidence interval of density was obtained. The last calculation was the percentage difference or error of the experimental value, compared with the accepted value of 2. Ml. At getting this number, it tells how accurate were made the measurements in the experiment.

MLA formatting tips We should start with the core structural elements. Introduction is the first paragraph in your paper followed by the thesis statement. It should contain the following: Transition and the topic sentence; Arguments, proofs and evidence; A hook or a sentence that will wrap up the topic. Once you are done with the main paragraphs and conclusion, you need to handle the reference page featuring works cited. Use Times of Roman font type. The size is generally 12pt. Italic fonts are used to add some contrast where necessary. Start each new paragraph with eh 0.5-inch indents, while the text itself should have one-inch margins with double-spacing. Make sure each page of your essay has a header containing your name and the number that refers to the page. Do not create a separate title page when it comes to MLA style, unless it is indicated in the requirements to the assignment. Ensure a proper first page format with indicated author and instructorââ¬â¢s names in addition to date and title in the center of the page. The in-text citation should include the source name and the number of page. Do not put commas between them. APA formatting tips The core structural elements of the APA style include: A Title Page; An Essay Abstract; Body Paragraphs; A Reference List. You should place the abstract before the introduction paragraph. Place it on a separate page centralized and typed in Times New Romans 12pt. Make sure the abstract does not exceed 200 words with double-spacing. The intro comes as a brief summary of the major work where you need to highlight the key points of the essay. It should also cover the key aspects and claim disputes. The conclusion is not just a summary of the paper. It is supposed to encourage readers for further exploration and examination of the areas related to the topic. Include each and every source you cite in the reference list. The text size is generally 12pt. Italic fonts are used to add some contrast where necessary. Start each new paragraph with eh 0.5-inch indents, while the text itself should have one-inch margins with double-spacing. Do not create a separate title page when it comes to MLA style, unless it is indicated in the requirements to the assignment. Indicate the running head of the essay on the first page in addition to a full studentââ¬â¢s name. Formatting in-text citations is a bit more complicated if compared with MLA. Here you need ti indicate the name of the author in addition to date of publication, page number. Commas should divide each point.

American Indian Education Essay Example for Free
American Indian Education Essay In this article the author argues that the American government should provide the Indian society the opportunity to create their own institution, for further education. He believes the American culture is being forced upon Indian society through education. Arthur C Parker believes in further education, as he himself is a no graduate from Dickinson Seminary. In his experience, Indian Students are being taught to assimilate to common American culture, while disregarding there own family tree. He states that by placing an Indian University, students would be granted the opportunity to further there education, as well as, the opportunity to embrace there own culture. Based upon Indian culture, Indians will be able to expand there education at a superior level, while never being forced to be similar to the white race. The American Indian wouldnââ¬â¢t be no less than an American, now be treated any differently, but he believed that the Indian had the opportunity to be granted the same education. Furthermore, he feels like no other Indian should be left out of the proper education they deserve. In conclusion, Arthur C. Parker strongly stands up for his believes, and does bend his head in shame, he is proud to be and Indian. Considering the time frame, 1913, where America is a developing nation of many cultures, the brining of a single race institution would cause a big controversy. America is known as the ââ¬Å"Melting Potâ⬠, where there is a variety of different cultures. To one, this article will seem to be talking back to American society. Parker has a strong believe and feels like this will improve the Indians education. I believe that he is so passionate for the American Indian University because he did not have the opportunity to complete his education, probably because he didnââ¬â¢t feel comfortable in his learning environment. In my perspective, this article is important, but nothing extraordinary from modern days, this issue continues with other races. The opportunity to have a single race intuition wouldââ¬â¢ve meant that every single race would have that same right, one has to be accustomed to what America is, as of today, a mixture of many cultures and beliefs. In my opinion, any student who believes, and want a higher education, will do so in any environment they are in. American Indian Education. (2017, Jan 24). Emergency plan Thesis Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words
Emergency plan - Thesis Example There are two types of Triage: Simple Triage often used in a mass casualty incident or scene of an accident so as to sort patients into those with less serious injuries and those who need critical attention and urgent transport to a health facility (Todaro, 2010 and Buchanan, 2000). It is usually done before transportation and patients are categorized by the use of printed tags or colored flagging; and Advanced Triage, in this, doctors may decide that some of the seriously injured individuals not receive advanced care since they are less likely to survive. Therefore advanced care is often used on patients with less serious injuries (U.S Dept. Transportation Emergency Response Guidebook, 2012). Advanced Triage hence has ethical implications. It is majorly used to divert the limited resources from people with minimal chances of survival ao as to improve survival of patients most likely to survive (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Bui lding Air Quality, 2000). Color codes are also used in scenes of accidents or disaster (Cravey, 2007). Some of the colors include: Red (T1) representing those in acute danger and requires immediate treatment and transport to hospitals; Yellow (T2) representing severe injury and requires constant observation, rapid care and transport; Green (T3) representing minor injury or no injury and requires treatment when practical and discharge when possible (Blythe, 2007).; Blue, White in USA (T4) representing those with no or small survival chance and requires observation and administration of analgesics if possible; and Black (T5) representing the deceased requiring collection and guarding of bodies and identification when possible (Cumming, 2006 and Brooks, 2003). Disaster Triage can be affected by language and cultural differences, especially where there is language barrier and different in

Philosophy Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words - 4
Philosophy - Assignment Example This is seen in the differences between the rationalism and empiricism: rationalism has it that the ideas and concepts are independent from the experience, and that the cognition is realized only by means of the mind, whereas empiricism states that the knowledge and practice shall be cognized by means of experience. (True Forms, 2013). 2) Eudaimonia is most commonly defined as welfare, happiness, or prosperity. Eudaimonists state that the happiness is the supreme good for the human being. According to their views, the basis of the human behavior and the criteria of morality are determined as the humanââ¬â¢s strive for happiness and prosperity. The happiness includes internal aspects, such as virtue, and external ones ââ¬â health, beauty and wealth. Eudaimonia is considered naturalistic because it is in humanââ¬â¢s nature to be aimed at reaching the best. (Robinson, 1999). 3) The Aristotelian concept of the ââ¬Å"golden meanâ⬠is the acceptable middle between the excessive and the insufficient. In terms of ethics this means a choice between the things that are good and bad and may seem too good or too bad. For example, the situation with the wars and armed conflicts in the modern world is illustrative in this respect. It would be possible to avoid them by means of choosing by either their sides a mean ââ¬â the process of negotiations, and this is namely the mean because it would neither lead to blood-shooting nor to absence of the contact between the sides at all. It can also be referred to as sometimes avoiding of the difficulties and trying to choose the easiest way of the problems solving. Then it is believed that the golden mean is not the best means and it is necessary to be courage enough to follow not the easiest way. 4) Philosophical Cynics tend not to accept the conventional society. They motivate this by the fact that the usual concept of life presupposes possessing the useless and odd

By a detailed description of any 3 of Wrdsworths Essay Example for Free
By a detailed description of any 3 of Wrdsworths Essay Almost all poetry of Wordsworth involves Nature at some level. In some poems, it is the vessel through which his philosophy is expressed ( Ode to Immortality, To a skylark, etc), while in others, Nature is described for its own sake for Nature in Wordsworths poetry is but a form of God and the poems of the latter category can be taken as hymns to God from a Nature poet. Due to the great number of poems he authored, it is difficult to isolate just three that describe his strengths as a Nature poet the best. However, since I strongly believe Wordsworth was at his best as a Nature poet in poems that show his love for Nature for its own sake and it is in these poems that his romantic imagination and narrative powers are most enchanting, I shall be describing three of the enigmatic Lucy poems Lucy Gray, Three years she grew in sun and shower and She dwelt among the untrodden ways to show Wordsworths strengths as a Nature poet. One of the attributes of Wordsworths poetry that gives them a timeless appeal is perhaps his effective use of imagery. For instance, in Lucy Gray, the establishment of Lucy as the personification of the more elusive, delicate aspects of Nature is complete in the very first stanza in the lines, You yet may spy the fawn at play/ The hare upon the green/ But the sweet face of Lucy Gray/ Will never more be seen. Here, the fawn and hare are aspects of Lucys own nature playful, innocent and common. This is reinforced in the form of a simile in Three years she grew in sun and shower She shall be as the sportive fawn/ That wild with glee across the lawn/ Or up the mountain springs. The sheer beauty of the image reaches its crescendo in the lines she shall lend her ear/ In many a secret place/Where rivulets dance their wayward round/ And beauty born of murmuring sound/ Shall pass into her face. Wordsworths greatness as a poet lies in the fact that not only is he able to describe Lucy purely in terms of nature through imagery but also, in that he can communicate his immense love for those aspects of Nature the delicate, transient and common though imagery, as he describes Lucy A violet by a mossy stone/ Half-hidden from the eye/ Fair as a star when only one/ Is shining in the sky. The Lucy poems are, in my opinion, especially relevant in the appreciation of Wordsworth as a great Nature poet for they firmly establish Wordsworths versatility as a Nature poet. Lucy the solitary child is more than just that. Lucy is the embodiment of an idea that works at several levels. At the most apparent level, she is an embodiment of the virginal, quaint beauty of the authors beloved homeland the Lake District that he missed so badly when these poems were written. Seen in the context of Wordsworths stay in Germany at this time, and his insecurities about even returning to his home, the lines The memory of what has been/ And never more will be take on a different meaning. However, it would be doing injustice to the poems if this is the only significance that is detected in the rich, emotive lines of the Lucy poems. The author is also superlative in establishing Lucy as a symbol of the unsullied, divine innocence that is so hard to find in human nature. Perhaps, the reason why Lucy dies is because the perfect innocence she embodies is something fated to be lost in the light of the common day as she grows up. Instead, remaining the eternal muse to romantic imagination, Nature said, A lovelier flower/ On earth was never sown; / This child I to myself will take,/ She shall be mine, and I will make/ A lady of my own and with this, she returned to the lonesome wild. On a different level, the Lucy poems are also beautiful parables of the love and loss of human life. Almost all the poems end with the indication of Lucys death and the author terrible sense of loss at that She lived unknown, and few could know/ When Lucy ceased to be; / But she is in her grave and oh! / The difference to me. These lines emote the absolute indifference of the world to one mans loss and mirror our isolation in our grief and yet, for Wordsworth, hope is always to be found in Nature. Hence, Lucy Gray, Wordsworth is at his finest as he transforms Lucy from a mere girl to the undying nature of hope in a single stanza Yet some maintain to this day/ She is a living child, /That you may see sweet Lucy Gray/ Upon the lonesome wild. The simple language and a rhyme scheme that imparts a musical character to the poems are the anatomical aspects of the Lucy poems that show the strengths of Wordsworth as a Nature poet. Indeed, when all the aspects of the poems are considered, they indicate a sensitive thinker in Wordsworth that seamlessly blends narrative and allegory to express his philosophy that The meanest flower that blows can give / Thought that do often lie too deep for tears.

Black Southenrner :: essays research papers
Black Southerners à à à à à Over the years most of us have read a great deal about the institution of slavery and itââ¬â¢s effects on this country and the African American race as a whole. The fact of the matter is most of us have only learned certain information about slavery. There are only certain facts and historical figures that we lean about. No to say that the information we get is wrong, but we were not taught the whole story. This could be due to the approach of different instructors or because school curriculums are supposed to focus on the interesting facts and stories about slavery. The fact of the matter is there are some areas that go untouched when learning about slavery in most schools. Reading the book Black Southerners was something different for me. It was like some one opened a door and when I entered in I found hidden facts and knowledge about an institution that has a tremendous effect on my country and this history of race. à à à à à John B. Boles is the author of Black Southerners, and before he even discusses slavery itself he acknowledges that most people have preconceived notions about not just about slavery but about history as a whole. Boles says: Part of the mythology every schoolchild in the United States learnsâ⬠¦is that the colony of Virginia achieved quick prosperity upon the basis of slaves and tobacco. Thus, ââ¬Å"the Southâ⬠is assumed to have existed as an initial settlement, with little change until the cataclysm of the Civil War in 1861. Boles discusses the beginnings of slavery in the seventeenth century and he clearly states the common misconceptions of readers and students: Some present-day readers believe slavery began in Jamestown in 1619â⬠¦if such readers are aware of slaveryââ¬â¢s existence in the ancient world, the assume it had become extinct until New World plantations arose with their greed for cheap labor. Boles writes on how slavery was indeed something that started in the Ancient world, and also it was not something that was racial motivated instead ââ¬Å"as in the ancient system, slaves were usually captives of warâ⬠¦with religion, not race, being the crucial factor.â⬠He notions the fact that ââ¬Å"not all blacks were slaves.â⬠à à à à à An important element that should not go unnoticed is how Boles describes how the institution of slavery changed dramatically over time. In itââ¬â¢s early years it was an institution that was not based on race, but more on war, religion, and legal status.
